For those who haven't played the this first Witcher game, a little heads up. Later patches (e.g. v1.4) requires online activation and registration. Unfortunately, as of March that website is no longer maintained so you can't update squat (since the entire team went off to focus on Witcher 2).

A friend of mine actually bought the game so he could try it before Witcher 2...only to find out later that he got screwed after a 2 GB (I think) patch download.

I told him beforehand, do they ever listen to me? Noooo.... :p
