Yin-Yang! -X-Change Alternative- is a reboot of Crowd's X-Change series of sex-change adult visual novels. The story follows an effeminate young man named Kaoru Sakurakaza who, after mistaking one of the school nurse's private experiments for cold medicine, wakes up to find himself transformed into a girl.

This game makes several improvements relative to the original X-Change series. Most notably, unlike in the original series, Yin-Yang! offers players the choice of a "good ending" where the main character chooses to remain female. The game also lacks the unavoidable "rape bus" scene which occurred once in each game of the original continuity.
