This game is the browser version of WordJong, which compared to the retail / downloadable releases is more limited. It has only the classic mode, one background and it is meant for a single person. Like in any mahjong solitaire game, the goal is to remove all the tiles from the board by matching them, but since this is a word game, the tiles the player combines must form a word in order to be taken off the screen. In order to use a tile, it must be freed first by clearing out adjacent tiles. The game's dictionary accepts a whole range of words from two to seven letters long. If the player makes them long enough and reaches the butterfly, a wild tile will appear on the right. When creating words, wild tiles can fill in for any missing letter.

Normally, a tile is worth one point in the general score, however some tiles have little red dots at the bottom. They indicate how many bonus points the player receives when using that particular letter to spell a word. Additionally, using a jade tile multiplies the word's value by two, two jade tiles in one word multiplies it by three, and so on. There are several difficulty levels. If the player gets stuck on Easy, it's possible to replace the current letters with a new set of tiles by clicking the New Tiles button.

Clearing out all the tiles is rewarded with a fortune symbol. Collecting four of them will give the player a chance to pick one out of four fortune cookies.
