Wordsearch Buff 501

Wordsearch Buff 501 is a single player collection of word puzzles.

The word search puzzles in this package come in four groups. Each puzzle has a theme and appears in a menu with two associated tick-boxes, 'Attempted' and 'Completed':* Micro Wordsearch: There are fifty of these where the player has to find eight words in an 8x8 grid

• Mini Wordsearch: There are one hundred and fifty-one of these where the player has to find sixteen words in an 13x13 grid
• Wordsearch Collection 1 and Wordsearch Collection 2: Each of which contains one hundred and fifty puzzles where the player has to find twenty words in an 15x15 grid

On the computer words are identified by clicking on an end letter and then holding down the left mouse button while dragging the cursor along to the other end, while this is done both the letters in the word and the connecting line are shown in red. When the mouse is released the letters return to their native black colour, the connecting line becomes a pale purple as does the word in the word list.

When a puzzle is complete a small green tick mark appears in the upper left and the 'Puzzle Completed' tickbox on the game menu is completed.
Each puzzle can be completed on the computer or printed out and completed by hand, printing is achieved by loading the puzzle into Adobe Acrobat. There is a 'solve' function which also loads the solved game into Adobe Acrobat.

The game is played entirely with the mouse. There is no in-game music and no player id so if loaded on a family computer there's no way to tell who completed which puzzle unless the game is loaded into separate user accounts.
