WWF Wrestlemania is a fun wrestling game, which kick-started the genre.

The Good
There is no problem in setting up the game, it is easy to name you're player, and to select you're wrestler. The fighting is fun, the graphics isn’t bad for a NES game, and the gameplay is just plain fun. Also, it is really fun to beat the hell out of you're opponent, it is really cool to do a finisher, and it is a good feeling when you win the game. Also the NES cartridge is more robust then say, a Xbox 360 DVD. It is a fun wrestling game, and a very good start for the successful WWF Wrestlemania series. In a nutshell, there are a lot of good points about this game.

The Bad
There is not much that I did not like about the game, the fighting was at the time groundbreaking, especially compared to similar fighting games such as Karate and Kung Fu Master, the graphics is not perfect, but that is more due to the NES's limitations then the game it's self. It is not perfect but it does the job for a 8 bit fighting game. It is flawed compared to it's successor, but when it first came out, there was not much to complain about, and there still isn’t that much to complain about even today. In a nutshell, there is not very much wrong with this game.

The Bottom Line
Definitely worth buying, don't sell you're soul, or for that matter you're collection to buy it, but that is just common sense. Solid fighting game, does the job, the NES joypad isn't perfect but so what. Kick-started the wrestling genre, solid fighting game, far superior to the likes of Karate and Kung Fu master, worth buying, not as good as future Wrestlemaina games, but if you have a NES buy it. You'll get some decent gameplay out of it, not perfect, but solid and fun. This game was a great start to the successful WWF Wrestlemaina series, and trust me, you'll have a blast if you play it. Well worth buying if you have a NES. In a nutshell this is a fun game and is worth buying if you own a NES.
