Description official description

The Game of the Year release for Batman: Arkham Asylum contains the full game, plus the Insane Night DLC challenge maps Nocturnal Hunter and Totally Insane, the Crime Alley map from the Collector's Edition, and the Scarecrow platform challenge maps from the GameStop pre-order bonus. The PS3 version also includes the exclusive Joker Challenge maps, while the other platforms do not.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 GOTY releases support the anaglyph 3-D solution TriOviz where an optional pink/green 3-D effect is added. It requires using the included cardboard 3-D glasses. No special TV or monitor is required to use the TrioViz effect.

The PC release does not support TrioViz, but does carry over support for Nvidia's 3D Vision glasses from the original game release. PhysX support is restricted to the PC version.

This is as close to a perfect game as I have ever seen

The Good
The combat was just wonderful. There was nothing like it. There's nothing like it now. Pretty much everyone copied Rocksteady's combat system because it was so well done. You feel like Batman. You'll actually engage with enemies, sometimes even 5-10 at a time. What's more Batman than that?

Also, the game's a love letter to comic book nerds. There's villains, riddles and easter eggs everywhere. The story is absolutely amazing, and Hamill's Joker is insane as usual.

The Bad
The only way you'll find something bad about this one is if you compare it to the later installments, and that is not fair. This is a perfect game. The only gripe I have is that there's a separate launcher for graphics settings, so you have to exit the game to tweak them. A small bump.

The Bottom Line
There's no such thing as a perfect game, but this is as close as it's going to get. It is an extremely well-designed, well-polished game that all Batman fans should play, if they haven't already.
