Battlefield 3: End Game

Battlefield 3: End Game is the fifth expansion pack for Battlefield 3. This expansion brings a balance of infantry, vehicles and new DLC weapon platform extras to the battlefield. In alignment with previous expansions this DLC introduces four new maps that are in harmony with the new weapons, game modes, and style of game play. Game mode additions for this expansion offer one new type: Air Superiority and a returning classic mode, capture the flag.

In the new Air Superiority mode, two teams of twelve, with only jets, battle for control of three objectives. The objectives are marked by what looks like a type of barrage white balloons that remain stationary at different elevations on the map. Objectives in this mode are captured in much of the same manner as conquest mode. The difference being that the player must fly in proximity (230m) of the balloon marker for a short duration to capture the objective. Each team in control of the most objectives increases both ticket drain on the enemy and the number of enemy kills needed to win the round.

Predominant in this expansion is the element of speed which is reflected in the new vehicles and weapon systems introduced in the DLC. The new dirt bikes accommodate two players: one driving and the other free to engage targets at high speeds. The two person dirt bike allows the passenger, for example, to drop C4 explosives and/or land mines at enemy vehicle combatants giving chase during capture the flag battles. Also introduced for both sides are lightly armored jeeps, now with anti-aircraft missile systems. The jeeps carry four teammates with a driver and another teammate needed to operate the jeep anti-aircraft systems. The DLC includes an upgraded AC-130 Spectre gunship allowing paratroop to drop as before but now with the ability to airdrop IFVs (Infantry Fighting Vehicles) onto the battlefield.
