In one of the escort missions, Eddie has to clear the way (which has been blocked off by big stone heads) for the tour bus. Eddie's companion tells him "You have to burn the rope!", to which Eddie replies "Could it really be that easy?". This seems to be a reference to the game You Have to Burn the Rope which, yes, really is that easy.
