It is simple really, if you did not play or try Burnout Paradise before now is the perfect time. It does not get any better than this!

The Ultimate Box and the additions it includes are just the start for Burnout Paradise though, with the developer promising even more content in the future, such as the Legendary Cars pack (which has been released prior to me writing this review), Toy Car pack, Boost Special pack, Cops and Robbers pack and a whole patch of land for you to drive on in the shape of Big Surf Island. This level of support from the developer is quite incredible and only adds more value to this already excellent game.

Overall Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box is a complete package specially for the PC gamers where their aren’t much arcade racers to play. But as for the console version goes its nothing new if you’ve already played the original title on your next gen systems and you have all the downloads as well. If you don’t have the downloadable content or you haven’t played the original game then stop looking around and go get this game.

When Criterion dares, everyone wins, and this is its most courageous game to date. Rather than power its way towards a brick wall, favoring intensity over diversity, Paradise loops its action into an endless rush, the possibilities, for arcade racing and battle enthusiasts alike, increasing with every hour. It’s hard not to see it as the birth of a new era, but in truth it might be the last Burnout you ever need.

This is a great game, and with the party mode it's fun game to play with a crowd. With heaps of replayability, fast action and mad crashes, Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box a game we can highly recommend.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box does what it promises. It's the ultimate version of this game with a lot of extras that make both the on- and offline even more fun. This is one purchase you won't regret as the gameplay is still incredibly addictive and spectacular, the controls even more tight and the fun lures around every corner, whether you want to reign the streets of Paradise City alone of with friends.

People who own the original version of Burnout Paradise should definitely pass this game. It doesn’t offer enough improvements and most of the additional content is ready for download on online anyway. People who skipped the game or were on the fence should give it a try, though.

If you aren’t a fan of Burnout Paradise, then the Party Pack won’t change your mind. However, if you’re looking for some fun, new multiplayer elements (not to mention free), then give the Party Pack a download. Additionally, if you skipped out on Burnout Paradise altogether when it released last year, then the Ultimate Box is a worthy investment.

MS Xbox World (Feb 27, 2009)
As it stands and I guess not being too greedy, The Ultimate box offers a fair and rounded value for money package for newcomers. Owners of the original should avoid, because the extras are not really worth buying a whole new game for, and if you've got Xbox Live, then at least you can buy the extras individually if you so choose.
