Totally Gaming Network (Mar 05, 2009)
Exit 2 is as nicely presented here as it was on the PSP, and it's the perfect fodder for the Xbox Live arcade. It might only offer a few new wrinkles over the original Exit, but if you're hungry for more puzzling and you want to see a slightly more fulfilling game than the original, then leap straight for this.

GameSpot (Mar 03, 2009)
Though it doesn't improve on the original in any meaningful way, Exit 2 is still a very good puzzle game. The 22 new scenarios and three stages from Exit comprise a whopping 250 levels of puzzle-platforming for a mere 800 points ($10). Fun and frustration abound, though fortunately the latter generally comes from a given level's fiendish difficulty rather than the slightly clumsy controls and insufferable sound effects. The survivors' abilities and environmental hazards are woven together in so many clever and diverse ways that there's always a nagging compulsion to try it one more time, or to give the next level a quick try. The unique visual presentation pulls it all together nicely, making it a pleasure to don Mr. ESC's yellow fedora once again.

These problems, along with the lacklustre controls, restrict Exit 2 a great deal. Granted, there is plenty to work through here, all presented with the contemporary flair of a team who do care about their unlikely hero. If you can stomach the achingly wearisome gameplay, then you’ll get some decent enjoyment from this title. Unfortunately for us, as a sequel this brings nothing new to the table, and fails to improve on the structure that allowed for a second adventure. A disappointing outing from Mr Esc and his associates, as we’ll be expecting something very different for the next instalment. For now, it’s with regret that this title will have you heading for the door without those pesky companions by your side in no time at all.
