In this sequel to Saw, Michael Tapp, son of Detective David Tapp from the first game and the movies, is kidnapped from in front of his father’s apartment and challenged to play one of Jigsaw’s games.

The game itself is played from a mix of third and first person perspectives, as Michael moves through and interacts with Jigsaw's maze. Many of the other challenges are covered by quick time events, from dodging traps to combat with other trapped participants.

As Michael progresses, he must escape from a series of gnarled infested buildings and its deadly inhabitants, as well as tasked with solving horrific puzzles. He will also be confronted with his father’s obsession with Jigsaw and decisions over life and death.
