All in all it is a game made for the younger kids. It is a button masher and nothing special for combo moves or anything else for that matter. It’s cool the graphics look like the show but it will probably take more than that to keep the kids interested in it too. The whole game is pretty redundant even for kids. It’s fun for maybe a few levels of just beat em up type of day but not much more. I love the turtles but I feel like they are getting no justice in this video game or any other game since Turtles in time or the Hyperstone heist. This should have been an arcade game for the xbox 360. It’s also weird the system selection that the game was made for like the 360, the wii, and the 3ds and totally bypassing the ps3 and the wii u. It’s on sale a lot, that is probably the time I would suggest to buy it.

If you've got kids who're fans of this new show, TMNT will probably keep them entertained for a couple of hours. But, if you have the option, you and whoever you're playing with, whether it's your kids, your friends, or total strangers, would have much more fun going old-school with any of Konami's great Ninja Turtles titles.

In conclusion, the title is a very simple side-scrolling beat 'em up that should have been an XBLA title. Short game modes, sub-par graphics and sound, and repetitive gameplay do not really justify a budget retail price. The game may be fun with friends but local same-screen co-op has been better implemented elsewhere. While the game can be completed on your own, the useless AI is likely to lead to a fair amount of frustration. The story and references to the TV show, which are likely to please its fans, cannot save this game from being little more than a title known for its easy achievements.

A basic combat system that fails at being basic and and unmotivated reason for playing, makes this game feel like a bad favor that you owe to a friend. The best thing this game could do is to stay in its shell and don't ever come back out.

So, there you have it, yet another TMNT experience that can’t break the curse of being a bad game. Yes, I know it may be marketed towards kids, but even a kid’s game should be fun and entertaining. This is a mindless beat ‘em up that anyone that has played a video game before can tell was a rush job. Even great voice actors can’t save it because the sound is so messed up. This really feels like a game that should be ten dollars on XBLA but they’re charging $39.99 for your trouble. Seriously, even if you’re a die hard TMNT fan, stay away from this.
