WhipCrack
Description
Recycler Twelve, a robot, is on its way to Relay One which has fallen silent. Once he reaches the relay, he notices that he needs to absorb more energy in order to reactivate the towers.
The player controls the W.H.I.P. defense system which is a whip which need to be swung at enemies (blocktagons). Once the enemies are de-activated, they need to be guided to Recycler Twelve (alternatively the recycler can also be pushed towards them) by using the magnet power so he can create chargers; energy balls which float around the recycler. Now there are two alternatives: either absorbing the powers directly or collect additional chargers first. Absorbing more than one rewards additional power and upgrades, e.g. the ability to collect more than one disabled blocktagon with the magnet. The downside is that the chargers can be destroyed by enemies which bump into them. Additional enemies are introduced during the 19 levels, but the most important ones are blocktagon spawners: after spawning a certain number of enemies, they de-activate and can be recycled into powerful shockwave bombs.
Additionally to the campaign, there is competitive local multiplayer. The goal is to score more points than the other players, but each of the five maps has a gimmick, e.g. in one there are only blocktagons to destroy and no charger or in another one the players are trapped and need to free themselves by tossing the charger at walls.
