As co-founder of ImaginEngine Corp., Mr. Loughridge oversaw the creative direction of the firm, new product development, and he participated in strategic planning. Previous to founding ImaginEngine Corp., he gained a distinguished reputation as an animator and interface designer while working at such firms as Apple Computer (with Alan Kay in the Advanced Technology Group), Broderbund Software, the Children's Television Workshop, and Disney Television.

Under the support of a Javits Fellowship from the U.S. Department of Education, Mr. Loughridge earned an M.A. in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts. Mr. Loughridge also attended Harvard, where he received an A.B. degree, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa in East Asian Studies. Mr. Loughridge has also studied at Cambridge University in England and Nagoya University in Japan under the support of separate fellowships.

After ImaginEngine merged with Digital Eclipse into Backbone Entertainment in 2003, he became co-chairman of Foundation 9 Entertainment in March 2005, a result of the merger of Backbone Entertainment and The Collective.
