Jared Hardy was hired by Insomniac Games immediately after graduating from the University of Southern California in 1998, as a Dean's Scholar with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Fine Arts, specializing in Media Based Imaging.

He has worked on every game Insomniac Games has released in both the "Spyro the Dragon" and "Ratchet and Clank" series of games through 2006.

He left Insomniac Games in 2005 to help start High Impact Games, where he helped develop two "Ratchet and Clank" series titles and one "Jak and Daxter" title, for both the PSP and PS2.
