Robert Stevenson brings over 15 years of diversified game, business and software development experience to the Atari Group. In the role of Vice President of Business Development & Worldwide Publishing, he oversees the fostering and development of business relationships and global publishing activities for the company as well as the senior management of specific daily operations.
Before joining Atari, Mr. Stevenson served as the Vice President of Product Development & Acquisitions for DreamCatcher Interactive and was responsible for the development of many of the company's franchise titles. Prior to DreamCatcher, Mr. Stevenson held key roles in several game development and publishing companies, including iROCK Games under the Virtus Entertainment Group and Interactive Magic. Collectively his products have earned numerous awards and turned nearly a billion dollars in revenue.
Mr. Stevenson began his career in the development of high-tech and immersive media projects with groups like the North Carolina Intellimedia Initiative, which he is credited for helping found, Hasbro Corporation, the Department of Defense and the British Royal Navy. Mr. Stevenson is an adviser to several software companies and actively works with game industry associations such as the IGDA and the Game Developer's Conference.
Mr. Stevenson holds a BS in Design from North Carolina State University and has completed advanced studies in Computer Science. His MBA is from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University.
