Biography edit · view history
Christian Arretche began his career in the game industry as a Q/A tester for Blizzard Entertainment. Starting as a temp employee on the Macintosh version of Diablo, he worked his way up the ladder to Senior Q/A and Evaluation on such titles as StarCraft, StarCraft: Brood War, StarCraft 64, Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition, Diablo II, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Diablo II – 1.10 patch, and Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.
After a stint as onsite Q/A at Blizzard North and overseeing language translations for Diablo II: Lord of Destruction; Chris accepted an offer to permanently transfer from Blizzard Irvine to Blizzard North where he served for 3 years as Technical Producer, External License Developer, PR Liaison, Design and Senior Producer on an unannounced project currently in development. With design credits on Starcraft 64, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, and as a designer on the Diablo II 1.10 patch, Chris is best known in the Diablo community as “Skullder” of “Skullder’s Ire” fame.
Chris currently serves as Senior Producer at Flagship Studios where his contributions include Scheduling, Design, PR, QA, “bringing the street cred”, and anything else that needs to get done. He was pressured into joining the company through free movies and numerous phone calls including one from David Brevik while Chris was driving down the California coast. When not house sitting for Bill Roper and making games, Chris is usually following his other interests of movies, toys, music, comics, sculpting and snowboarding.
