Matt Hocker started his career in the video game industry in May of 2005 as a tester for Electronic Arts in Redwood City, California. While there he worked on The Sims 2: Nightlife expansion for the PC and The Sims 2 for the PS2 and Xbox consoles.

In September of 2005, he moved back to Massachusetts and in October of that year he accepted a Quality Assurance tester position at Turbine Games to work on Dungeons & Dragons Online. After 6 months with the company, he accepted a position on the International Quality Assurance team. For the last 4 and a half years he has been a member of the International QA team, first in a tester/network operations role, and since November of 2008 as the Associate Lead of the team. In the time that he has been on the International QA team, he has been involved in every international release of Dungeons & Dragons Online and Lord of the Rings Online.
