Direct clients include Electronic Arts, Microsoft, SEGA, Codemasters, NCSoft, Network Associates and the Dutch Ministry of Defense. Worked on large-scale localization projects for eBay and Microsoft. Used to translate 400.000 words per year for the European Union.

EDUCATION: 1998: Graduated from the Faculty of Japanology (National Leiden University), obtaining the degree of ‘Master of Arts in Japanology’. 1994: Selected as one of the twenty best first year students of the Faculty of Japanology (National Leiden University) and sent to Japan to follow a one year study program at an auxiliary branch of the Leiden University in Nagasaki, Japan. 1992: Graduated from the Christelijk Lyceum Veenendaal (Veenendaal Christian Lyceum). Subjects studied: Latin, Dutch, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics.

AWARDS/ACCREDITATION: 1998: Officially sworn in as a translator/interpreter at the District Court of The Hague. 1997: Won first prize in the 8th National Japanese Speech Contest, organized by the Japanese Embassy in The Netherlands.

GAME EXPERIENCE: Avid gamer since the age of 10, playing 2-4 hours a day. 7 Years’ experience as guild leader of Fabulae Marrii, a guild focusing on MMORPG’s (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Games).

MUSIC EXPERIENCE: Former band member of Galbatron, a synthesizer band performing symphonic electronica. This band had more than 128,000 listeners. Former editor of national synthesizer magazine Keys & Audio. Author of several books on mp3 and audio, published by Sybex International and available nationwide in all Bruna/V&D bookshops.
