James got his start working as an audio engineer with Ft. Worth, TX based anime studio, Funimation. He worked there for a period of about 3 years. At that time, he was also working as a designer for various local film and video projects, along with some one-off projects.

Around 2006, James headed out to the great land of Richardson, TX to lend an audio engineering hand over at OkraTron 5000. While working there, he teamed up with Matt Piersall and began designing for games full time.

Around early 2008, James, Matt, and fellow OkraTron designer Robert Arlauskas put together a new company, GL33k, and headed to Austin, TX.

At present, James is a lead audio designer and engineer at GL33k.
