Masato Masuda (増田 雅人, January 1, 1966 - March 29, 2014) was a game designer and programmer, considered a pioneer of pro wrestling video games. He joined TRY (later Human) in 1984 as a part-time employee, designing and programming several early influential wrestling games, including Pro Wrestling (1986) and Fire Pro Wrestling (1989). He stayed with Human until 1994, including one year as a programming teacher at Human Creative School.
After spending a year in the US, he returned to Japan and taught programming at Human Creative School for another three years. After Human's bankruptcy in 1999, he established his own studio ShunDa. He passed away in March 2014 at the age of 48.
