Stephen Marley is a British author and video game designer, best known for his Chia Black Dragon series. He was born in Derby and later educated in Derby and Nottingham. He took up writing full-time in 1985 and had seven novels published, chiefly dark fantasy and science fiction. From 1995 onwards he pursued a parallel career in video games, working mainly with Creative Reality Software and was the designer for Martian Gothic.
