Alexander Freed

Alexander Freed is an experienced narrative designer, novelist, and comic book writer with a track record spanning over fifteen years in the gaming industry. Notably, he has worked with various companies, including BioWare, DICE, Kabam, Obsidian Entertainment, and WB Games Montreal.

During his tenure at BioWare, Freed held the position of Lead Writer, contributing to projects such as Star Wars: The Old Republic (2011). His responsibilities included overseeing story direction, character development, quest design, and dialogue writing. Additionally, he managed writing teams, provided editorial feedback, and ensured adherence to style guides.

Since becoming a Freelance Writer in 2012, Freed has collaborated with numerous industry clients, offering his expertise in crafting story outlines, dialogue, and interactive narratives for video games. He has also authored novels, including the Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy and the film novelization Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, along with contributing to various comic book series.

During his time at Fogbank Entertainment from 2017 to 2020, Alexander Freed served as the Studio Writing Director. Fogbank Entertainment was a narrative games studio owned by 21st Century Fox, where Freed oversaw all writing and narrative design work.

Freed's skills encompass setting and IP development, plotlines, branching narratives, mission design, interactive dialogue, and transmedia integration. He has a history of mentoring and training game writers.
