Patrick Ketchum owned shares in several computer software companies in the 1980s and 1990s. These include the companies DataSoft, Sullivan Bluth Interactive Media and Cyberdreams. At DataSoft Ketchum helped to launch - among many others - home computer versions of Pac Man, Pole Position and Dallas. In his time at Sullivan Bluth Interactive Media home computer versions of Dragonās Lair and Space Ace were published. His last role in the game industry was at Cyberdreams, with published titles of note being H.R. Gigerās Dark Seed I & II or Harlan Ellisonās I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream.
In 1996, after the release of Syd Meadās CyberRace, Patrick Ketchum sold his 50% interest in the company to his partner and left the games industry to pursue a career as a photographer.
