The Good
The main story mode mixed up the gameplay types pretty well. Sonic and Shadow's speed stages were great. Tails and Eggman's shooting stages were pretty fun as well. The Chao Garden is completely changed from the previous game and will definitely pull in players who like simulations or those that just want to relax. Building a Chao to beat friend's can be a fun waste of time. The Battle mode is a great addition. Taking on other players in the three types of gameplay is good for a quick distraction.
The music is, for the most part, pretty good. There tends to be a different style of music for the stages of each character. (Rap for Knuckles, Rock for Sonic/Shadow,etc.)
The Bad
Knuckles and Rouge's stages can just be annoying at times. When you reach those stages the action almost grinds to a halt until you finish it.
The Bottom Line
A really good game. This is how 3D Sonic games should be. Plus it has a 3D remake of the Green Hill Zone from Sonic's very first game! What more can you ask for?

The Good
In Sonic Adventure 2 you can play as good or dark campaigns The good characters are Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles the dark are Shadow, Dr.Robotnik, and Rouge the bat the levels are played like so level then cutscene then level again and so on that’s right no adventure but more on that later the has sonic having been captured by G.U.N. being mistaken for Shadow the dark hedgehog and he escapes not a very original idea I realize but it’s a platformer Sonic’s stages are the usual run through fight enemies Tail’s are like E-102’s levels from SA1, and Knuckles is once again looking for the master emerald pieces Shadow’s levels are the same as Sonic’s, Robotnik’s levels are like Tail’s and Rouge the bats levels are like Knuckles but instead she’s looking for Chaos Emeralds. In addition to that there is a improved multiplayer from the Dreamcast one
The Bad
The bad in this game is the exclusion of adventure me being one of the few people who I enjoyed the adventure segments and Tails in a mech a now he makes a lot of inventions but still and though the levels are an improvement over the races of SA1 and they can be fun it seems out of place. Graphics are only slightly better than the Dreamcast one
The Bottom Line
Although this game is the worst true Sonic game it still should be part of a fans Sonic Collection.

A popular Dreamcast title returns to GCN as Sonic Adventure 2 BATTLE!
The Good
Basically, I liked the whole fact that you could play as either the heroes or the villains, and the graphics were mighty impressive as well as the cutscenes. The way the stages were designed and the challenge they give you was pretty darn cool (I could spend literally an hour on the later Knux/Rouge hunting stages). Bosses were cool, and I even liked a lot of the music featured in the game (believe it or not, I'm actually dancing to the City Escape theme right now). And Chao raising can be pretty fun.
The Bad
Tails' English voice acting sucks! Why? Because they used a three-year old kid to do his voice. Every time I hear that god-awful voice I just wish that I could reach my TV remote so I could hit the Mute button, seriously. I was also a bit disappointed to find out that both Hero and Dark stories were both so short. Aside from that, this game is so darn addictive, that I can't find anything else dislikable about SA2B.
The Bottom Line
Sonic fans of all ages, here's what to do: 1: Go to your local store. 2: Pick up this game (no matter how much it costs). 3: Play and have some of the best fun ever. I'll say it once more in case you don't know already: This game's addictive as hell and Sonic fans must go get it now. End of review.
