I started out playing MS-DOS games on a 386/DX in around 1992, at 7 years old. My favourite age of gaming still is the PC era of the mid-90s to early 2000s, when magazines came with dozens of playable demos on cover CD-ROMs, everything was multimedia, and the Internet didn't yet gobble up all the other resources and forms of communication. While my collection isn't huge, I've started to shop at auctions and second-hand webshops around the world to fill some gaps, get things I've missed when they were current, and explore other curious corners of the gaming world that I'm personally interested in. In addition to contributing to MobyGames, I'm also working on my own little archive that will be presented at www.gamefolder.org. |
