- The Wolf Among Us -- how to make childhood fables likeable is to make them a dark, gritty, and noir-like
- Alan Wake -- the perfect horror-survival in every sense of the way... if only there were no DLCs and continuations
- Chain: Ushinawareta Ashiato -- one of the finest noir games that managed to make a fairly simple story memorable... well, it's not the story I remember
- StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm -- they lost to WS game after game, and then this came out... wow, thank you Tricia for this Kerrigan
- Firewatch -- alone in the wilds... sounds boring, but this game is anything but, so simple yet so beautiful
- Heavy Rain: Move Edition -- the game that asks for terrible sacrifice but for best possible reason
