Chuck Carr started making sfx and music for games in 1994 after attending Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts. The first two games he worked on were "Xenophage" and "Doom II".
In 1997, he became a sound designer at what was then called
Sony Interactive Studios America. The first game he worked on was creating SFX and editing dialogue for "Tanarus". Next was the infamous, "Spawn" creating the SFX, dialogue and a writing a couple of music tracks. In 2000, the company became
989 Studios.
Chuck then became the in-house composer/songwriter creating music for GameDay, GameBreaker, NHL Hockey, NBA, ATV Off-Road Fury, SuperCross Circuit, CoolBoarders 2001, and many others. A couple of years later, 989 Studios became Sony Computer Entertainment America and as the workload got larger, Chuck spent most of his time managing music for games vs. writing for them. Gran Turismo, The Mark of Kri, NeoPets, Downhill Domination, MLB The Show, Hot Shots Golf, High Velocity Bowling, etc. During these years of exposure to the music industry, Chuck has built many great relationships and has capitalized on them. In his later time with PlayStation he wrote the popular theme song to a game called , PAIN. He's since written a cover of "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" featuring David Hasselhoff. Chuck continues to write and produce music for artists, games, and his music catalog via his company NockTunes.
