Developer Biography

Chuck Carr started creating sound effects and music for games in 1994 after attending Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts. The first two games he worked on were "Xenophage" and "Doom II".

In 1997, he became a sound designer at Sony Interactive Studios America. The first game he worked on was "Tanarus", creating SFX and twisted, scary dialogue. Next was the infamous, "Spawn" creating the SFX, dialogue and a writing a couple of music tracks. Shortly thereafter, the company became 989 Studios.

After creating sound for many other games, Chuck eventually became the in-house composer/songwriter creating music for GameDay, GameBreaker, NHL Hockey, NBA, ATV Off-Road Fury, SuperCross Circuit, CoolBoarders 2001, and many others. He then started managing music for games and writing/remixing for them, like Gran Turismo, The Mark of Kri, NeoPets, Downhill Domination, MLB The Show, Hot Shots Golf, High Velocity Bowling, etc. Chuck wrote the theme song to the popular PlayStation Network game, PAIN. PAIN features celebrities David Hasselhoff, George Takie, Flavor Flav and Andy Dick. Chuck wrote a cover of "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" featuring the vocal talents of David Hasselhoff.
