Biography edit · view history

Steven Sauve is a talented guy, multi-tasking at a number of musical interests. He is a composer of electronic, ambient music, as well as more traditional forms, particularly computer-based emulations of orchestral styles. He is especially interested in the random processes of composition and aleatoric composition, with his greatest influences being Brian Eno and Steve Reich.

Credits go to Steven for all the environmental and musical sounds in the computer games Jewels of the Oracle and Jewels II/Gems of Darkness, plus music and sound effects for various installations in the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Canada and the Golden State Museum in Sacramento, California. He also arranged the final heart-tugging piece found in The Legend of Lotus Spring.

Between musical interludes, Steven also teaches courses in Toronto at York University and Centennial College, The Bell Centre for Creative Communications. Subjects include music composition, sound design, and synthesis for computer delivery systems.
