Quoted from Slava's web site:

My professional experience started at age 11, when I enrolled in an all-day art school. After graduation four years later, I entered a more advance art school. Four years later, in my senior year, I was recruited by the prestigious Moscow Institute of Arts and Design to go and study in Moscow.

In 1995, after studying there for another six years, I received a Master degree in graphic design, and also a job offer from Animatek, a promising Russian computer animation and game company, with some 100 computer graphic designers working in two locations, one in Moscow and the other in the USA. After working for two years in its main office, I was transferred to its San Francisco office and came to the United States in April 1997.

Lately, however, due to the recent economic turmoil in Russia and the uncertainty about the furure of Animatek, I and my other colleagues have been advised to look for jobs.

During the years, I have reseved many honors and awards. Among them, I am specially proud of four of my paintings that were auctioned in 1990 in Miami. Also last year, one of our projects at Animatek, Final Fantasy Tactics, was awarded as the best computer animation game in 1997 by Sony.
