Yannick has been inevitably led towards composing early in his youth by frequently trying to puzzle out new musical arrangements on his beloved piano. At the same time, he showed a great interest in Music for films and video games, and so the direction of his compositional work soon became clear. Beginning with fan projects for video games, Yannick was able to prove and improve his skills before he was hired by Runeforge Game Studio as the composer for the soundtrack for their video game “The Guild 2 – Renaissance”. Since then he has been given several jobs in composing for some media and video games.

Mainly, Yannick's compositional style is orchestral sound. This does not only include “classical”, popular style, but also new, unusual sound models and composition techniques opening new room between orchestration and sound design.

Yannick is studying musicology and music education at the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Apart from working for Audinity, he is active as pianist, accompanist and private piano teacher. Furthermore he cooperates with orchestras and ensembles as orchestrator and arranger.
