Wanted: A Wild Western Adventure

Riding his horse out somewhere in the Wild West, our hero, Fenimore Fillmore comes to a place where some farmers have settled down. A powerful rancher, lord and master of the whole area, wants to get rid of the farmers, who he sees as invaders of the land his cattle graze on. Starek, for that is the name of the evil rancher, has a small army of gunmen and thugs who spend their time threatening and terrifying the farmers, who are few in number and poorly armed. Fenimore, of course, will side with the weakest and will help them take on Starek.

After going to a meeting of the farmers, where they tell him about their problems, Fenimore knows what he must do and he feels it even more keenly when he's checked out the whole area, visiting the village, which is also under Starek's control. The sheriff, the banker, the station master and the others all work for the same boss, which means that Fenimore won't be able to count on them, in fact, just the opposite, he'll have to take them all on.

There's just one person apart from Fenimore on the farmers' side and that is the wicked Starek's own niece, a beautiful girl called Rhiannon, who works against her uncle's wishes, as teacher of the farmers' children.

Fenimore, of course, falls straightaway under the spell of the girl, which gives him a good reason to fight even harder for the farmers.

Fenimore faces up to endless trials, both great and small, as he tries to defend them, taking on Starek's men, first in a fist fight in the village and later with his gun in an ambush.

In short: non-stop action, humor, a range of tough but amusing situations, and all with the unmistakable flavor of the Wild West.

This entertaining graphic adventure, produced by Planeta DeAgostini Interactive, relies on the long experience of the game developer Revistronic. This programming group from Madrid has released several titles which have had repercussion on the international market. Its members' professional experience dates from the 8-bit-computer times. * This is not the first time that Fenimore Fillmore rides in our compatible computers. Fenimore Fillmore: The Westerner is the second part of 3 Skulls of the Toltecs, the first Spanish graphic adventure published worldwide, which was translated into more than 12 languages and released in more than 20 countries in 1996. At that time, Fenimore was playing a leading part in a classic cartoon adventure with graphics in 2D. Seven years later, this sweet scatterbrain cowboy comes back in a videogame swarming with humour, hilarious situations, more crazy characters and all this with spectacular 3D quite out of the ordinary. * Fenimore Fillmore: The Westerner has been created relying on the powerful new generation engine PICTuRE. This graphic and physics engine, entirely developed in Spain by the Revistronic team, allows the use of the so called Spline Curves. * The creation of PICTuRE, the use of Splines or Lightmaps light effects and volumetric shadows is much more than technical verbosity. The main advantage is that it shows characters with facial expressions capable of transmitting feelings on their own, with great mobility and versatility. This provides the characters of this story with great psychological depth, and therefore the player gets totally involved in the adventure. * But, in a nutshell, The Westerner is the exciting odyssey of a man who fights like a lonesome cowboy in order to preserve the justice, the peace and the freedom.
