Freekstyle for the Nintendo GameCube is a high-octane motocross game for adrenaline junkies. Saddle up a high powered dirt-bike and Pull off insane tricks and combos while catching amazingly large air.
Each of the nine huge courses is filled with loops, corkscrews and jumps that make their real-life counterparts look puny. You'll want to take plenty of time to master each course and discover all the cool shortcuts.
Speed matters, but it's also vital that you pull off a wide range of death-defying tricks. With a steady flow of high scoring tricks you can fill your boost meter and attempt a four-button supersick trick. These supersick tricks give you a super boost of speed and display a Matrix-inspired slow-mo effect. Freekstyle offers more than 100 tricks!
Choose from real-life riders Mike Metzger, Leeann Tweeden, Brian Deegan and Stefy Bau. Four more riders can also be unlocked by winning races.
The graphics in Freekstyle do a fine job portraying the freeky attitude of this racer. Characters are detailed with tattoos and distinct clothing styles. The twisting and tumbling of tricks and crashes are nicely animated, and you will be amazed when you launch off a big jump and see the vast landscape.
The constant droning of the engine and the rockin' tunes of Dry Cell keep the sound as gritty as the rest of the game, while an appropriately amped announcer bellows out highlights of the action.
Freekstyle is a motocross game that throttles to its own beat. Customizable characters and multi-player support provide solid replay value to boot.
