Der beliebte tasmanische Tiger kehrt im Herbst mit TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2 ins Outback zurück. TY, der wilde, aber doch charismatische und Bumerang werfende tasmanische Tiger, führt die Spieler durch glänzend animierte neue 3D-Abenteuer im rauen und weiten Australien.

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2 geht da weiter, wo das Original-Action-Spiel aufhört. Die Anzahl der Charaktere aus Down Under ist gestiegen, und damit steigt natürlich auch das Actionpotenzial! Der gemeine Boss Cass ist aus dem Currawong-Gefängnis ausgebrochen und hat den Plan ausgeheckt, die Welt mit einer Armee aus Über-Reptilien einzunehmen. The untamed yet charismatic TY leads players through a richly animated 3D adventure set in the ruggedness and splendor of Australia.

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2 picks up where the popular original (the best-selling game ever by an Australian developer) left off. Evil Boss Cass has broken out of Currawong Jail and hatched a plan to take over the world with an army of Uber Reptiles. It's up to our boomerang-hurling hero and his newly formed team of Burramudgee Bush Rescue mates to stop the rogue!

In story mode, the action careens like a table-tennis ball in the Perth surf through 50 missions that embrace Australian deserts, rain forests, billabongs, sunny beaches and country towns. Expect plenty of authentic touches from Brisbane, Queensland-based developer Krome.

The missions demo'd for us were both cheerful and frenetic. As TY's non-playable pals barked out directions, he bashed numerous enemies, hopped into a mech to bash some more, then lead-footed through a twisting kart course chock-full of speed boosts.

Bottom Line

The smart-alecky animal-hero category is getting increasingly crowded, but TY 2's gameplay variety and, even better, colorful Down Under environs, give this tiger a fighting chance.

The outback hero returns with an all-new adventure packed with action, robots, reptiles and more boomerangs than you can shake a didgeridoo at.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is back to once again make the wilds of the Australian bush a safe place for him and his mates. After Ty put him away at the end of the original game, the evil Boss Cass has broken out of Currawong Jail and hatched a plan to take over the world with an army of repulsive reptiles. Only Ty and his animal buddies at Burramudgee Bush Rescue stand in his way.

For a bigger adventure, Ty needs a bigger array of weapons; this time around he's got a whopping 21 boomerangs to choose from. Get your paws on Lasharangs, Kaboomarangs, Blastorangs, Aquarangs, and Megarangs, to name but a few.

But that's not all. Ty can also climb aboard five different robot units, each with special abilities such as fire-fighting, laser firing and heat resistance. As well as giant robots, Ty gets to explore the Bush in a variety of vehicles, including helicopters, 4X4s, and even submarines!

There's also a full Ty kart-racing game to unlock that lets you and your mates race around seven Aussie-themed race tracks.
