Press release (21st May 2003)

A good walk spoilt? Not if you love the unconventional....

Take2 Interactive's Outlaw Golf sequel tees off, packed full of the most unlikely characters ever to grace the country club - this is golf with a difference.

A mix of traditional golf gameplay with a host of undesirable characters (each complete with their own peculiar foibles) makes for a game that steps outside the box and well off the green. Add in new ways to play golf, such as Baseball, Time Attack and Pick up Sticks variants, and you are faced with a tongue-in cheek sporting romp that breaks the mould.

But is it golf? The simple answer is yes... but golf featuring loathsome, foul-mouthed, trash-talking players and caddies like El Suave and El Ramone from Tia Juana, or Donna and Vinny from Queens, New York.

Variant games translate traditional golf into other sports such as baseball, where your performance on the course determines your progress around the bases, or more sadistic variants like Pick up Sticks, in which you take a club away from your opponent each time you win a hole.

Outlaw Golf 2 thrusts you into a surreal golfing experience unlike any other.

  • Traditional and alternative golf gameplay
  • All new courses and characters, plus old favourites
  • Golf cart stunt driving
