A sequel to this summer's Shrek 2 game, Shrek 2: Beg for Mercy re-enacts the story of Puss-in-Boots and how he came to meet up with Shrek and Donkey.

In this side-scroller, you'll play as one of the characters from Shrek's world. Mostly, though, you will be the swashbuckling kitty. You'll need to help your character reach his goal by defeating enemies of all kinds.

Slash your way past villagers, bats and skeleton warriors. Charm the toads into a false sense of security and pounce on them, too. Each character has its own special abilities, including Puss-in-Boots' double-jump and Shrek's ability to pick up items and place them somewhere else.

Each level hosts 40 coins. If you track down all, you'll be rewarded at game's end. You can go back and replay any level in which you failed to pick up all 40 coins.

Bottom Line Those who can't get enough Shrek should check out this title.
