The all-new Slam Dunk Contest pits your favorite player against three others to see who has the best moves and most creativity. Without a doubt, impressing the jaded judges is difficult. You'll need to master the moves to score a perfect 50. With endless combinations of moves for your dunk, timing is of the essence. If you can't put the ball through the hoop, it's tough for the judges to give you anything but a big, fat zero.NBA Live 2005 features other challenges from the All-Star Game Weekend, including the 3 Point Shootout, Rookie Challenge and the All-Star Game itself.Outside of the 25-year Dynasty Mode, Season and Playoffs options, challenge any player in the game to a 1 On 1 showdown. Play Magic v. Bird, Shaq v. Kobe or Carmelo v. LeBron in a street ball. Call your own fouls.The gameplay exceeds expectations. Moving the C Stick makes your player perform special dribbles and spin moves. Blow by a defender and go for the slam. If you miss a shot, your big man has several options. He can do pull the rebound down. You can make him tip the ball back toward the basket. Or, if you're in good position, have him slam the rebound into the basket.
