May 15, 2006 - As we approach the completion of one of the most awaited adventure games, Runaway 2, we are glad to announce the launch of its official website.

Now you have the opportunity to get to know a little more about Brian and Gina's new adventures and to discover some of the new characters and images. It is also the occasion to find out more about Runaway 2, whose release date has been pushed back on several occasions to allow Pendulo Studios to surpass the first opus (which enchanted over 500 000 players across Europe ) on every single point.

Runaway, a road adventure, released in Europe in 2003, injected adventure games with new life by becoming one the biggest hits of the year with over 600,000 PC units sold in Europe. What the Spanish development studio and game's creators, Pendulo, did that was so successful was to propose a distinctly adult adventure with a duo of charismatic heroes, a cast of highly colourful characters and a good dose of humour. The whole cocktail looked good, and sounded good, served up as it was with an original eye-catching graphic style with the perfect soundtrack.

Hawaii – an idyllic island paradise. It's the spot Brian Basco and Gina Timmins have chosen to take a well-earned vacation. An impromptu daytrip to a remote and relatively uninhabited island goes awry, however – Brian forces Gina from the plane, giving her the only working parachute. Brian luckily survives the plane's crash landing, but Gina has disappeared, setting the stage for a highly entertaining story.

Runaway, przygodowa gra drogi, wydana w roku 2003, ożywiła gatunek przygodówek stając się jedną z najlepiej sprzedających się gier roku, w samej Europie sprzedano jej aż 600 000 sztuk!

W Runaway 2, Pendulo Studios po raz kolejny pokazuje nam niezwykle dopracowany, szczegółowy świat, przedstawiany w niezwykłej grafice rodem z kreskówek, która dała pierwszej części tyle uroku. Pendulo wykorzystało także wiele nowinek technicznych zmieniając silnik i dodając efekty specjalne. Postaci zyskują na jakości dzięki głębi i efektom świetlnym generowanym w czasie rzeczywistym; sceny są żywsze, w nich również wykorzystano dynamiczne oświetlenie i setki animacji. Dzięki temu uzyskano niezwykły efekt łączący sekwencje gry z animowanymi scenkami, które w sumie trwają ponad godzinę. Runaway 2 sprawia, że gracz czuje, iż bierze udział w przygodzie rodem z filmu rysunkowego.

Gracz posuwa się do przodu i działa w pełnych życia, szczegółowo odwzorowanych sceneriach. Postępy gracza są ilustrowane przepięknymi animacjami wyjaśniającymi fabułę, prezentującymi niespodziewane zwroty akcji i liczne elementy komediowe.
