REDMOND, Wash., August 28, 2000 - Forget about those designer white shorts and personalized collared shirts. Don't bring your highbrow country club attitude and prima donna friends around here. This isn't your typical Saturday afternoon, tea-sipping, no-fun style of tennis. This is Mario Tennis for Nintendo® 64... you don't just play it, you survive it.

Mario and friends are back in this blistering slam-fest featuring classic Nintendo characters such as Wario, Luigi, Princess Peach and the always-versatile Yoshi. Mario Tennis also introduces a new character, Waluigi, Luigi's arch-enemy and the newest addition to the Nintendo family. Up to four players can compete against each other using furious forehands, backhand blasts and swerving serves. In traditional Nintendo style, Mario Tennis is simple to learn and play, but offers more challenge than a backhand drop volley to keep even the most seasoned video gamer coming back for more. Developed by Camelot, the creators of 1999's Mario Golf’, Mario Tennis serves its way into stores August 28 for a suggested retail price of $59.95.
