Fear Effect

When the daughter of a powerful Chinese business man is kidnapped, a top team of mercenaries goes on the hunt. It seems a straightforward kidnap, but the more they search for the missing Wee Ming, the darker the secrets they uncover.

You play each of the three mercenaries in turn, as the story changes viewpoint: the glamorous operative Hana, the ex-military Royce, and the weapons expert Deke. Throughout the game, a fear meter keeps track of your character's stress levels - too much fear, and your character becomes easy to kill.

Nothing is straightforward in this futuristic world, and the storyline of this 4-disc game presents you with a myriad of puzzles and challenges. The video sequences add to the cinematic style of the game, pulling you deep into a murky world of danger and dubious motives.
