It is the very distant future. A horde of malign monsters roam the universe, devouring all resources, including the homes of the humans. The future of the galaxy hangs in the balance, but will salvation come in shape of a spaceship called "Silpheed"?

With the Silpheed comes a highly skilled pilot - you, the player. Shoot your way through 8 different levels as you wield the power of 9 fearsome weapons and do battle with the evil invaders. Guide your ship through the deepest recesses of space as you take on the enemy in a series of challenging missions. Destroy the monsters before they destroy you!
