Bionic Commando swings back into action as the first true sequel to the 1988 original with the return of bionically enhanced Nathan "R.A.D." Spencer.

Ten years after his heroic defeat of the Imperials, he has been betrayed, imprisoned, and sentenced to death under a conspiracy. On the very day of Spencer's execution, terrorists detonate an experimental weapon in Ascension City, unleashing an earthquake that turns the city to rubble and wipes out its population.

With the city in the control of a terrorist force whose goal remains unclear, the TASC have no option but to rely on a Bionic Commando.

Bionic Commando transposes the much loved swing-and-shoot action of the original onto a stunning 3D environment of towering buildings, suspended roadways and monorails, deep canyons and sheer rock faces, which are traversed using swinging, scaling, climbing and wall-walking techniques.

Bionic Commando will include a fully-fledged multiplayer mode which will feature wire mechanics to swing from platform to platform while pursuing your opponents. Players will need to utilise all the skills honed in single player to show the true power of a Bionic Commando as the game will feature group matchmaking and in-depth stat tracking.

Time has not been kind to Spencer. Ten years after his heroic defeat of the Imperials, he is betrayed by the government, and sentenced to death for crimes he didn't commit.

But then, terrorists detonate a massive experimental weapon in Ascension City, unleashing an intense earthquake that turns the city into rubble, wipes out the population, and results in the city's air defense grid in the control of a massive terrorist force. There is only one option left, a behind-the-lines assault by a Bionic Commando.

Специальное военное подразделение, в котором состоял Натан Спенсер, после успешного выполнения последней миссии было признано правительством слишком опасным. Легендарного бойца арестовали и приговорили к смертной казни…

Однако в роковой день некая террористическая группа привела в действие мощное экспериментальное оружие, вызвав в городе страшное землетрясение, которое превратило здания в руины и уничтожило большую часть населения. Министры в панике: цель террористов неизвестна, разрушенный город под их контролем. Правительство вынуждено сменить гнев на милость и, принеся герою извинения, дать ему задание исправить сложившуюся ситуацию.

PC-версия игры поддерживает более высокие в сравнении с другими платформами графические настройки. Многопользовательская игра осуществляться через интернет.

В российском издании игра представлена с субтитрами на русском языке с сохранением оригинального озвучивания.
