Mod Tools for Take Command
New York, USA (May 17, 2006) - Fans of Paradox Interactive and their portfolio of games have long enjoyed the opportunity to modify scenarios in each game released by the company. MadMinute Games have a similar approach and are now offering a mod tool for their recently released Civil War strategy title: "Take Command: 2nd Manassas".
The tool will allow players to work on the source files to all of the scenarios, without needing programming skills. It allows players to change almost any aspect of the game and make it look like a completely different game if desired. Players can add their own uniforms, toolbar, scenarios, formations, explosions, artwork, weapon types, fonts, skill levels, sounds, names, mod themselves into the scenarios, screens, and change aspects of the game that affect all scenarios.
In addition, the WarPack tool will compress a scenario folder into an easily distributable .mmg file so players can share their work. It will also allow players to edit the original .csv files where players do not have their own spreadsheet program.
Jpg files of nearly all maps are being released along with a Developer's Guide and much more.
