Superstar V8 è il gioco ufficiale del campionato automobilistico con macchine di serie con motore 8 cilindri a V. Grazie allo studio accurato della fisica e dell’intelligenza artificiale degli avversari, si avrà la sensazione di guidare una vera auto da corsa.

Il videogioco simula ogni aspetto delle gare e offre la possibilità di affrontare le curve dei circuiti ufficiali con i piloti e i team della stagione 2008.

L’esperienza di gioco può essere modificata impostando le opzioni di realismo e gli aiuti alla guida.

Lo stile può essere impostato tra “Arcade”, con tutti gli aiuti alla guida attivati, o “Simulazione”, dove tutto è affidato esclusivamente all’abilità del pilota. É inoltre possibile personalizzare lo stile influendo sul sistema di controllo della trazione, sul controllo elettronico della stabilità e sul cambio, automatico o manuale. Si devono tenere in considerazione diversi parametri: le gomme possono consumarsi, i freni possono logorarsi e l’auto può danneggiarsi.

Per ottimizzare le performance di gioco si può contare su informazioni derivanti dalle precedenti gare come un vero ingegnere: informazioni sul tracciato, scelta delle sessioni di gara e statistiche di ogni sessione e la telemetria permettono di avere un quadro completo ad ogni giro di pista effettuato.

La configurazione del veicolo può effettuata dai meccanici o dal giocatore che può scegliere di regolare diversi parametri dell’auto: rigidezza degli ammortizzatori, smorzamento di compressione ed estensione.
