Dracula returns in Castlevania® Harmony of Despair, the first exclusive Xbox LIVE Arcade Castlevania game. Featuring the classic fast-paced 2-D side-scrolling action the series is known for, vampire hunters from across the series will join forces to return Dracula, the Lord of Darkness, to his eternal slumber. Designed by the legendary producer of the Castlevania series, Koji Igarashi, Castlevania Harmony of Despair allows up to six friends to play together via online co-op story mode or see who the best vampire hunter is in Survival Mode, which challenges you to fend off your friends while fighting for your very survival. Utilize your co-op skills to explore the levels with your friends in order to find hidden locations with special items and equipment or team up in battle to let loose destructive attacks on the hordes of attacking creatures.

• Six-player online co-op: Explore and fight Dracula with friends online or engage in Survival Mode and see who's the last warrior standing.
• Combo attack system: Unleash devastating attacks by working with your partners to vanquish your foes

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair dated for Europe

KONAMI unleashes Castlevania: Harmony of Despair via PlayStation®Network on October 12th

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced it is to release Castlevania: Harmony of Despair for PlayStation®3 via the PlayStation Network on October 12th. The game will cost £ 11.99 and includes the 'Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire' Map pack, comprising the Pyramid of Ruin level as well as additional characters Julius Belmont and Yoko Belnades.

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair reunites players with the cast of memorable characters from the series, and features the series' renowned fast paced, 2D side-scrolling action. It also introduces an all-new six-player online multi-player mode, while the new PlayStation®3 game also includes an offline multi-player mode for up to four players.

The game sees classic vampire hunters from throughout the series come together in order to destroy a host of demonic bosses. Joining forces with friends, up to six players can explore massive levels inspired by the worlds of classic Castlevania titles such as Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia via the game's co-op functionality - either online or offline. Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced it is to release Castlevania: Harmony of Despair for PlayStation®3 via the PlayStation®Network this September.
