**NANCY DREW'S LATEST CAPER PUTS TEENS AT THE COMPUTER

New CD-ROM Game Gives Girls A Chance to Role-Play Their Favorite Detective**

BELLEVUE, Wash. - After 70 years and 350 mysteries, the world's most famous teen detective has leapt into the computer age with her first role-playing game. Nancy Drew - the resourceful, adventurous and independent teen who's served as role model to three generations of American girls - has come to CD-ROM in "Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill," the first in a series of Nancy Drew mystery titles from Bellevue, Washington-based Her Interactive, Inc.

Designed for girls ages 11 and up, "Secrets Can Kill" brings computer gaming to new levels both technically and intellectually. Combining expressively animated characters in richly rendered environments, the game challenges girls to solve a murder as they role-play the part of their favorite teenage sleuth, Nancy Drew.

While visiting her aunt Eloise in the fictitious town of Paseo Del Mar, Nancy Drew is called upon by the local high school principal to investigate a crime committed at the school. Posing as a student, Nancy explores the town, grills suspects and finds hints and clues along the way. Filled with interactive puzzles, brain teasers, hidden messages and a cast of characters straight out of the classic detective series, "Secrets Can Kill" offers countless hours of game play that will keep girls glued to the mystery.

"We worked with a panel of girls every step of the way to make sure the content, style and game play matched what they wanted to see in a game," said Her Interactive Chairman and CEO Jan Claesson. "While their mothers will certainly find all the timeless qualities of Nancy Drew here, the entertainment value is geared specifically towards today's media-savvy teens."

Her Interactive pioneered the girl games category in 1995 with the release of "McKenzie & Co.," the first CD-ROM title designed specifically for girls. In 1997, it also introduced the award-winning game, "The Vampire Diaries."

"Our mission is to create products that enable girls to have fun with technology," said Megan Gaiser, President and Executive Producer. "If we can make computers more entertaining for girls, we can open the doors to technology sooner."

Consumers can order "Secrets Can Kill" directly at www.herinteractive.com or by calling (800) 561-0908. The game is priced at $24.95, and includes two CD-ROMs, a detective handbook and a sketchbook.

Minimum system requirements for running the game include: Windows 95/98; 166 MHz Pentium processor; 16 MB RAM; 42 MB available hard disc space; 16-bit color graphics video card; 8x CD-ROM drive; 16-bit Windows-compatible stereo sound card; mouse and speakers.
