NBA Live 2002 will provide more of an emotional experience to the user – similar to videos and advertisements that NBA entertainment puts together. We want the gamer to get an understanding of what it's like to be on the court. Hear what the players are talking about and see what's going on from their eyes. The play around the basket will be opened up to allow for more lay-ups and dunks along with more control in the low post. Facial animation and lip synching will be something that will be heavily focused on during transition sequences and auto replays. See Allen Iverson with his tattoos and corn rows arguing a referee's call or yelling as he throws down a big time dunk and see his reaction as he celebrates afterwards.
