Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter

Moby ID: 6250

Jedi Starfighter, the sequel to last year's hit PS2 title, Star Wars: Starfighter, is the first game to feature events and storylines from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Featuring the all new Jedi Starfighter vehicle, as well as other craft from the film, Jedi Starfighter will serve up over 20 missions based on the film's events, and is also the first Star Wars game to feature in-flight Force powers. With exhilarating graphics and an original storyline that compliments that of Attack of the Clones, Jedi Starfighter is an exciting prospect for fans of both the Star Wars films and the Starfighter series.

Jedi Starfighter's story focuses on the activities of female Jedi Adi Gallia, and an alien pirate named Nym, who join forces to combat the evil Trade Federation. The game's plot is a completely original creation, so despite occurring in the same time and space as the events of Attack of the Clones, it will not spoil any of the film's surprises. What it will do, however, is frantic dogfighting action, as you pilot the eponymous Starfighter across 20+ missions. Being a Jedi, of course, gives you an advantage in these battles, with a variety of all-new Force powers at your disposal including Force Shields, Force Shockwave, and the very useful Force Reflex, which slows time down to a crawl for everyone - except you. And if the new Force powers don't tip the scales in your balance, you can also rope in a friend for the co-operative two-player mode, which features extra craft and characters for your accomplice to control.

The original Starfighter wowed legions of Star Wars fans when it was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2001, and the sequel looks set to win even more accolades with it's blend of fast paced aerial combat, next-generation graphics and the familiar trappings of the Star Wars universe. Add over 40 new craft, the co-operative multiplayer option, and the opportunity to get a sneak peak at the characters and events of Attack of the Clones, and you've got a surefire hit on your hands.

In Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, the galaxy is in turmoil as the events of Star Wars: Episode II unfold. Mace Windu dispatches one of the Council's top Jedi - Adi Gallia - to investigate disturbances in the Karthakk system, as a secessionist movement threatens to expand. Using the Republic's new prototype Jedi starfighter, Adi Gallia sets out on missions which lead into events depicted in the Star Wars: Episode II film. She quickly gains an upper hand in space battles through Force powers, but will these be enough to counter the massive fleet of the evil Captain Toth and a mysterious figure that threatens the very foundations of the Galactic Republic system?
