Obwohl es ursprünglich als Fortsetzung des populären "Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX" geplant war, wurde die Verbindung zu Mirra zugunsten einer engen Bindung an den berüchtigten New Yorker Strip-Club "Scores" fallen gelassen. B. die verstreuten Prostituierten einsammeln und sie zum Bordell bringen oder über die transportablen Toiletten grinden, um den an Verstopfung leidenden Insassen dabei zu helfen, sich zu erleichtern. Mithilfe der Pickups, die Sie in den Missionen erhalten, können Sie Ihr Bike und Ihren Fahrer aufrüsten und das kalte, harte Bargeld dazu benutzen, sekundenlange Sequenzen prickelnd-heisser Videofilme aus dem Scores-Strip-Club freizuschalten.

Als Extremsport-Titel verfügt BMX XXX über eine anständige Spiele-Engine, die sowohl Fahranfängern als auch Extremsport-Experten die Möglichkeit gibt, zu zeigen, was sie drauf haben. Die reichhaltigen Level selbst sind gut durchdacht und verfügen über eine Vielzahl von Gelegenheiten für grosse Sprünge und gekonnte Stunts. Als Teil der Computer-Unterhaltung wird unablässig geflucht, und auch die Überbeanspruchung von zweideutigem Humor wird nicht jedermanns Sache sein. Fügt man dann noch die echten Stripperinnen hinzu, lässt sich leicht erkennen, dass Acclaim eine ganz bestimmte Zielgruppe vor Augen hat.

The most calculatedly controversial game of the year arrives for the Nintendo GameCube.

Publisher Acclaim essentially took the pro riders out of Acclaim's serviceable Dave Mirra BMX and crammed in lots of naughty business. The result is what is politely known as an "adult-oriented" game, where "adult" doesn't mean grown-up responsibilities like mortgage payments. Suffice to say that the game won't win any sensitivity awards-- in addition to humor of questionable taste, it also contains nudity.

Early on, Acclaim proudly pointed out the all-new motion-captured rider moves, 1,700-plus tricks, 10 huge environments and a Create-A-Rider system. Of late though the public relations push has focused on "thousands of scripted jokes and events created by some of Hollywood's top comedic writers." We'll see about that, but early word is that all those jokes aren't funny as much as they are "Eh? Did they actually say that?"

The macho soundtrack mix includes tunes from aging guy faves Green Day, 311 and Mötley Crüe. How merry pranksters De La Soul slipped in remains a mystery, but they're probably grateful for the royalty payments.

Forget the action sports games you've played in the past. Wipe clean your perceptions of what you think an action sports game is. BMX XXX is different to any other game you have played. This game not only talks the talk, but it walks the walk. BMX XXX is action packed and jammed full of adult humour, crazy challenges and risqué content. You'll hear and see things that will have you crying with laughter and calling your friends. BMX XXX is no holds barred and will live up to its high age rating. The challenges are some of the most bizarre you will ever see and the characters (and their language) are as colourful as they come. If you're looking for just another action sports sim, you've got the wrong game
