全世界で大人気の「Bridge Constructor™」とValveの超有名なアクションパズルゲーム
「Portal™」との、夢のコラボレーションゲームです。両タイトルのユニークな組み合わせにより、画期的なゲームが誕生しました。

Aperture Science試験室の新規従業員であるあなたの仕事は、60種類のテストルームに橋やスロープなどを建設し、車両に乗ったベンディーたちをゴールラインまで安全に送り届けることです。2種類の部品（足場とケーブル）を組み合わせ、重量や物理法則を考慮しながら、トレーニングセンターの通路に橋を架けていきましょう。固定ポイントに支柱（道路パーツにも転換可能）やケーブルを取り付けていきますが、ポイントの場所や数は限られているため、プレーヤーは自立型の橋を建造しなければならない場合があります。さらに、橋は自重に加え、車両の重さや車両が橋に着地した際の衝撃に耐える必要があります。各ステージは、完成した橋に車両１台を通過させればクリアとなります。そのまま、次のステージにも進めますが、車列を全て通過させることにもチャレンジが可能です。ゲームの世界観は「Portal」そのままです。同じ色のポータルから出入りを繰り返したり、ポータルや滑走ゲル、反発ゲル、エアリアルフェイスプレート、キューブなど、「Portal」のガジェットを使いこなし、見張りのタレットや酸のプール、レーザーバリアをかわして、スイッチパズルを解き、テストチャンバーを抜け出しましょう。
GLaDOS（グラドス）の声優、エレン・マクレイン氏がチュートリアルのガイドをしてくれるほか、真のAperture Science従業員になるためのコツやワザも教えてくれます。
